Fresh, invigorating, and oh so good for you! I think of this as taking my morning vitamin! Chalk-full of healthiness, this is definitely a great way to kickstart your day!
High in inflammation busting Omega 3 fatty acids, with loads of fiber, protein, calcium, manganese, magnesium and phosphorus to boot. It also has quite a bit of Vitamin B3 (niacin), Vitamin B1 (thiamine) and Vitamin B2, Potassium and Zinc. All round goodness.
You may be wondering what all the fuss is about Omega 3 right? It’s because an imbalance of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids can lead to serious inflammation which is believed to be the root of most chronic disease. Needless to say, we don’t want that!
Most people though, consume on average 16 times more Omega 6 fatty acids than Omega 3’s. That’s because they’re everywhere! Anything processed generally contains soybean, safflower or sunflower oil which are high in Omega 6 fatty acids. Talk about inflammation city!
So like with everything, the aim is maintaining a balance. Ideally, you’d want to cut back your Omega 6 fatty acid intake and bump up your Omega 3’s from sources like fish, phytoplankton, nuts, flax seed and chia seeds like in our morning kickstarter drink!
Happy Healthy Beginnings!
